Who I aM & what I do

“IF I SHOULD SELL BOTH MY FORENOONS AND AFTERNOONS TO SOCIETY, AS MOST APPEAR TO DO, I AM SURE THAT FOR ME THERE WOULD BE NOTHING LEFT WORTH LIVING FOr.” -THOREAU

I’m just a restaurant industry lifer trying to share my love of food, wine, the outdoors and adventure. A deep passion for food and beverage motivated me to start a small garden plot on the sideyard of a backhouse and a rooftop garden for a restaurant. Which then led to hunting, fishing and foraging for magical, wild ingredients of the Pacific Northwest. This particular farming adventure began with a yearning for more space to call my own. In 2018, I packed up my compost and said goodbye to Portland. Now I am are here, in beautiful Oregon wine country. Yesternight, my daughter’s most endearing term for last night, was a labor of love and hardwork. My farm began with a homestead garden and continues to grow every year. In 2020, motivated by the devastating effects of Covid-19 on the restaurant industry, I decided to pursue farming full time. Each season comes with new ideas for providing the community with food and products created in harmony with nature and with regard to leaving this special piece of earth better than I found it. At the moment, I’m nurturing a small vineyard I planted to Chardonnay in 2019, an heirloom garden of fantastic, unique fruits and vegetables, and a cut flower garden! Making the most of everyday and Yesternight.
